The adapter wasn't assembled correctly so I couldn't use it straight out of the box. Had to unscrew and remove the M645 mount ring and rotate the "spring shim" underneath till the bayonet positions lined up properly then I replaced the M645 mount ring and finally it was useable. Nice tight fit though so I'm happy with it.
