About this product

Product Information

The Deluxe edition of this Wii system comes in a stylish black color. This color has a beautiful shine that repels fingerprints and smudges. The plastic case is sturdy, making it a durable enough to avoid getting damaged easily. With a wide variety of titles to choose from, this accessory is perfect for gamers of all ages. Released in 2012, the Wii U is the sixth home console by the company. One of the distinguishing features of the Wii U is its controller, the Wii U GamePad. This GamePad combines an analog stick, traditional buttons, a gyroscope, and a touchscreen into one device. This second screen gives developers the flexibility to add unique features to games for the system. For example, in "NBA 2k13," the screen allows you to call out plays with the tap of a finger quickly. In "Nintendo Land," the screen gives you additional information about the current game. You can also transmit gameplay directly to this secondary screen. For example, if someone else wants to use the television, configure the Wii U to display the game on the GamePad instead. The Wii U is a Nintendo home console that outputs high-definition graphics. The HD graphics mean that your Nintendo video games look incredible when you play them. For example, in "New Super Mario Bros. U," you notice details on both the heroes and villains. Games like "Pikmin 3" explode off the screen in a splash of color and vibrancy. With 2GB of RAM and a graphics card based on the Radeon R700, there is a lot of power in this little box. The Deluxe model comes with 32GB of hard drive space built directly into the device. This storage space is enough to house over 10 digital titles and 200 saved games. If you find yourself needing additional hard drive space, insert an SD card into the device. The Wii U is 6.8 inches wide, 1.8 inches tall, and 10.6 inches long.

Wii U Gamepad Required, Wii Remotes not sufficient

While this may be obvious to some, you have to have a Wii U Gamepad (nearly as expensive as the console) in order to configure, setup and use the Wii U or get to the point of being able to play Wii games. Following that, you can use Wii remote controllers when playing Wii games but to get to the standard Wii environment you have to use the Wii U Gamepad. So be aware if you are trying to replace a Wii Console with Wii U Console, you will also need a Wii U gamepad and the power supply is also different.

It was not bad but not good either

It’s fine works great had a bit of trouble setting the game up no gamepad charger and the sync button wasn’t on the gamepad so it was extremely difficult to connect the game pad on to the console

  • Worth the money. Get it now and star experiencing new ways to play.

I bought the Wii U cause I'm a fan of most Nintendo franchises such as Zelda, Smash, Mario, Pokemon and Metroid. Even though right now the selection of games is small, several main games from Nintendo have been announced and from here the console can only get better. I gave it 4 stars because as most people said, the menues take a little longer than usual to load, which I really don't mind at all, but I have to take into account when reviewing. Nintendo has adressed this and the system issues will be fixed in 2 separate patches coming this fall and summer. This console brings the unique experience of assymetric gameplay, better apreciated in Metroid Blast, one of the mini games in Nintendo Land (Included with the Deluxe version of the console). Judging by this game, and others like the ...

  • Good potential, but most would be better off waiting

Overall, the Wii U seems like a system with great potential, but at the moment, it can be kinda boring. There is practically no game selection, and there are probably less than 30 games available for the console. No good Nintendo ones besides Nintendo Land, and the rest are all just games you probably already have for your Xbox, or are just too childish for your taste. The controller is much cooler than you would think. When first looking at the Wii U, I thought the controller was a bit ridiculous, and bulky, but once you hold it in your hands, it seems to be a perfect fit. It has many features, including a microphone, camera, plenty of buttons, and motion sensors, which should be plenty of fun in game to come. The console itself works well. It loads quickly, has a beautiful display, ...

  • Great console, great price

Nintendo has made an awesome new console, runs very quiet and produces some great gfx. The new tablet controller has a very nice screen and is surprisingly light and comfortable to hold. The off tv play alone is worth this type of controller. I got the new Wind Waker HD remake with my Wii U and let me tell you, it looks fantastic. I haven't seen a remake that has had an overhaul such as this in terms of graphics and added features. Nintendo's social network, Miiverse is another gem that the media does not give enough credit. All this console needs is some more software and it will be getting that within the next 6 months. Super Mario 3D World is a must have, DK Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, X, Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8 and the new Zelda title will keep me busy for a long time.
