    Creative Zen 4GB Black Digital Media Player

    This is an excellent device. I purchased this to replace a Creative Zen Player I misplaced. I purchased 2 of these when they first came out. One for me and the other for my wife. She gives the Zen player very ratings also. I plug my Zen into my Marantz 2225 or external speakers when at home. When I am out and about or doing yard work I'll attach a Bluetooth transmitter to the Zen player so I can use my Bluetooth earbuds.

    Great for audio books

    I bought this device to use for audio books. I have another one just like it and know how easy it is to transfer books and fast forward or backward if you need to. It also goes right back to where you left off in your book when you turn it off. I bought this one because my other one is getting old, and I wanted to purchase another one while It was still available. I bought a Zen MX thinking it was the same device because they look alike, but it won't fast forward , so I wasted my money. This Creative Zen first generation is the best for audio books.

    Reliable, good quality, affordable

    I purchased this as a gift for someone. Times are hard and a budget kept me from going the iPod/Zune route, so I'm glad I remembered about Creative. The overall appearance is simple and sturdy, screen size is comparable to its competitors, and the sound is great. My stepson is extremely happy with his new toy (he is a big music lover), and it was a nice upgrade from his broken 2nd gen iPod nano (which was pink and a hand-me-down).

    Great when working but there are fatal flaws in software

    I bought it broke. Creative had a big problem with the software that runs this. This one had the white screen of death. After tremendous effort and patience I was able to get the screen to work properly. If yours breaks go to Youtube where you can find fixes. Creative is not supportive in sharing these fixes.
