  • I Forgot the rewards of having such a Solid Nice Card

Stepped up from the Evga 8800gts 320mb. I'm not interested in dropping $300.00 + into a dx11 cards now since, there are only 2 games that takes advantage of it. Until, they came out with games that I enjoy playing, I chose to improve on the games that I play now. This card is not even close of getting warm as the 9800gtx. That was an heater all on its own. The GTX260 is a cool customer and I even we all out and got GPU cooler for this and didn't even need it, much like the 8800gts. This runs my P2570 Samsung flawlessly and I can once again enjoy games that I did a couple of years ago with a new sense of realism that we all strive to achieve...within our given budget. Until Nvidia answers to ATI's approach to the cards this year and I believe that the folks @ Nvidia got caught with ...

  • Great Value!!!!!!!!!!!

First off let me say that this card at one time was in the top 5 video cards that could be bought and were around 300-350 retail. I purchased one back then and it is still running strong giving high to ultra video settings on most games that are being released now. I bought one on ebay for less than 75 and put on my sons computer and it really brought his system up to where he can max out most games. I have read some of the reviews of it being hot or being to long well that is what you get with high end gaming video cards. I am currently running a GTX570 in one system and the 260's in the others and the length is the same and the heat is the same. You cant buy a card like this and throw it in any case. The other consideration you need to weigh if you purchase a 200-500 series nvidia is the ...

  • Stick with ATI

The Good: The GTX 260 is a nice card, it will handle intense graphics, good for video editing. The Bad: Shaders are not as smooth as ATI cards, a bit glitchy. The Ugly: Huge card, extends into empty hdd bays. HOT card, makes whole system hot and causes system fan to run loud. Takes a lot of power.

  • Great for price!

Only reason i am giving it four starts and not five because the shipping was not the best and a bracket came bent and i had to bend it back into place, rather then that it is what you pay for, If you start your computer like the first 5 seconds it is loud but then it goes in to idle noise.
