Directions are difficult to understand and read but I was able to use common sense. I did have to leave out one assembly bolt on each side in order to move the hitch about a half inch forward where the bolt head was hitting the leaf spring bracket. I seriously doubt the structural integrity will be compromised as there are several bolts holding it all together. This thing is solid and heavy duty. Good seller. It arrived quick.
