    IMPRESSIVE!

    Over fifty years of guitar slinging I always used the same type of strings, but after reading so much about the cobalt slinky's I decided to try them. Loved the bright tone and ease of bending so much I installed them on three of my Strats and each one sounded better than before and that is something that surprised me. Worth your time to install a set and try them out. Impressive technology!

    Just the tone I was looking for.

    I had tried a lot of different strings from several makers, both coated and not. I had tried other Ernie Ball strings and they were good, but I was still searching. I saw the Cobalts at my local music store and gave them a try on my Ibanez. They broke in quick and the little nuances I had searched for were right there. I have bought several sets since then and the same quality comes through every time.

    cobalt rocks

    I've been using the cobalt now for a couple of years. They're very bendable, have a nice sound as well. I like to use a little coconut oil in case they get dry. a guitar tech told me the cobalts can cause pre mature fret erosion, so keep that in mind.

    Cobalt is a definite improvement .

    These newer cobalt Strings play, ring, stretch (bend) much better than the regular Super Slinky’s I’ve been using for the past 30 years!
