I have the original Stihl muffler that this copy was modeled after. The louvered ports are not opened up, one has no opening at all. The muffler box inside has roughly 1/2 as many holes of the same size as the original, in an awkward place to try to drill more. Overall, this muffler would not flow well and would degrade performance of a great saw. It isn't worth my time to return it or fix it. The pictures display too dark on my computer to resolve the problems pre-purchase.
