I purchased this book for my grandchildren's school. All 3 of my grandchildren attend an elementary school that is part of a DLI (Dual Language Immersion) program. Never speaking a word of spanish the 5 year old is learning and understanding most of what s said to him, the 6 year old is speaking, reading and writing at a first grade level in Spanish and English. The third grader is fluent in speaking, and her reading and writing skills in both English and Spanish are at her grade level. But with the school budgets being what they are and money allocation being what it is the school does not have enough Spanish books for these children to read. The library has some and is full of English books. So I purchased a bunch of books and donated them to the DLI teachers. They were so ... I purchased this book for my grandchildren's school.
