Tribute To Jerry Garcia - Relix Bay Rock Shop 1997
This album has an interesting thing or two to say about an important American Rock icon, but in general it's kind of hokey. The music that's on the album is for the most part a handful of top-notch tributes to an amazing band. But the interviews themselves fall a bit short of interesting more often than not, and many of the people interviewed tended not to be those closest to Garcia themselves, and thus, had perspectives that while somewhat interesting were a far cry from fascinating. If one really wishes to pay tribute to the memory of Mr. Garcia go buy the albums he played on and listen to the music that he was. If you have 45 minutes and really NOTHING better to do, you'll here some interesting music on this cd and every once in a while an interesting insight.
