    Decent Chip of the Socket 462 era, good option for system repairs.

    I purchased this product to repair a computer for a friend. The old CPU (A Sempron) had a poorly installed heat-sink which eventually caused it to over heat and stop working. This CPU is for socket 462 motherboards and has a 133mhz bus. The Athlon XP processor was the Pentium 4 alternative of its time, it may not have been quite as nippy due to a smaller cache size, but most people would have never noticed. The chip is now dated, but if you need to repair or upgrade a socket 462 Sempron, Duron, Celeron, Pentium chip, the Athlon XP processor is a good upgrade or repair option if a Pentium 4 cpu is not available or costs more than its worth.

    AMD ATHLON AXDC2400DKV3C PROCESSSOY

    I purchased this processor to replace a slower one. It was the fasted that the motherboard could use. It has greatly improved speed.
