It has the NEC chip, which turned out to be an ASM-1042. Regardless, it was awesome. I had owned an FL1100 chipset card which there were no quality drivers for. This one was perfect. I used an 8TB drive without external power from another port and my card burned. This was my error and this post is to help other buyers. Don't overload it.

But, it plugged right in and windows 10 loaded the latest drivers and it works great. This reduced my backup time to about a fifth of what it used to take using USB2 and an external drive. Well worth the low cost for this upgrade. Quick shipping, recommended.
