The drop block is a fantastic idea. It took only 15 minutes to install it. It's nice to have the counter space back. I did make a modification. The magnet to hold it up is strong so there is some noise when it snaps closed so I added a felt pad to top of the screw in the square block. It can't be to thick otherwise it won't stay closed. Get it just right and the closing is a bit less noisy. All in all it's a great product and we'll made.
