Notes
Hey folks t.j. Here, welcome to the web site, and who better than i to embellish the facts about tommy jay walker! i entered this world on a february third according to my mother, who was there and apparently awake for the whole ordeal. What year it was is a little fuzzy? i was born in the u.s.a. Not west l.a. Or the s.f. Bay as some might say. But somewhere near the buckle of the barbeque belt! In a small town with a big truck stop a medium sized drug store and a population hardly worthy of mention. In fact if the 'road atlas' and 'the state map' chose not to recognize us, i figure it best be left as a mystery to you readers, who may or may not choose to believe any of this. After all, as a singer, song writer. Poet and story teller, iv'e been gifted with the artistic license to color this story however i see fit! The truth is, i acquired my first guitar at the age of seven as it was cast aside by my brother franky, not moments after he opened it (as a gift) one frosty christmas morn. The instrument and i were inseparable. At the age of ten i sang on my first record, at fourteen i joined a band, finished the ninth grade and dropped out of high school. At fifteen and sixteen i gathered some life experiences as a tree planter, carpenter and farm worker. I received 'a real paycheck' for singing and playing guitar at the age of seventeen and that same year became a 'professional musician'. I am blessed to say that iv'e been fortunate enough to have supported myself as a musical performance and recording artist ever since. What has happened between those days and these has been a wondrous life of experiences. Iv'e had the great pleasure of visiting all fifty of the united states, canada and mexico, and played music in most of them. I truly do believe that, 'the journey is the goal' in closing i'd like to say 'god bless you all' for visiting the web site and please, purchase as many CD's, t- shirts as you can possibly afford! 'thanks a bunch' t.j. Walker, over and out!
