    Reliable with good quality

    I have used Panasonic 4524 VCRs for a long time. I am a heavy user of VCRs and have had many brands over the years. This Panasonic model is the best I have used. The 4524 series has a long life. I have never had one that chewed up a tape. I watch and/or record most days and am satisfied with the 3 units in different rooms. The ease of programing and changing settings is very good.

    Pleased as punch!

    Outside of the GIANT remote control, this VCR has done about as well as expected. It's smooth and performs exactly as advertised. I needed to have a newer device connected to my DVD conversion device and the match was perfect. No issues so far and I've copied many hours worth of conversions.

    Good VHS player

    I'm not much interested in recording but I do have a number of old tapes around to view on occassion. This player is a demonstration that one of the original companies can't sacrifice quality, even though it may not have the heft of it's predecessors. Afterall, technology and engineering have advanced quite a bit since the old top loaders of the late 70's. It seems to go through the progression of operation seemlessly and that is all you can ask for. The quality of the video image is what you would expect from VHS tape; not the best but as good as it gets.

    vhs player review

    great product, had no issues installing and using it. I was surprised at how easy it was to make it work with my smart tv and although the video quality isn't all that great( its vhs, what do you expect) i had no problem watching various documentary's and older movies with it.
