It's super light weight and the leather is super thin. In my opinion this whip is more suited for Cosplay or Halloween than real equestrian or cattle uses. I can't imagine that it will last very long. It comes bound with plastic zip ties and mine had been looped together for so long that when I unraveled the whip it was stuck together and the "brown colored paint" came off. See photo.
