However, the initial fit of the EF mount was excessively tight, making removal from the camera body very difficult. As the only compatible mount available, a minor modification was made by sanding the interior of the EF opening. This addressed the tight tolerance issue and prevents the M42 mount from unscrewing leaving the mount on the Canon camera.

It's very sensitive matter to me because using several Fujinon lenses on both mirrorless and ST705w film body.I don't have Canon EOS DSLR system, but I have some EOS mount assets - EOS-Sony E Helicoid adapter and *Focal reducer...* 1st generation Viltrox reducer, modified by removing plastic baffle and electronics to mounting MF lens adapters for EOS-CY, PK, PB, R, M42 ...
