Awesome front sight
The sights work as designed. The front sight is a big improvement over the factory white dot. It can be seen very well even in daylight. They do glow very nicely in the dark. To be honest, the last set of sights I put on a glock were TruGlo fiber-optic front and rear. They worked very well in any kind of light from bright sun to total darkness. I would have preferred them if they were available. However, that being said, this set of sights is a great improvement over the factory installed sights.The sights work as designed. Rear sight
I am sorry to say that I am not pleased with the rear sight. I can barely see the 2 beads, they have no brightness to line up with the front, which I do like. The front is easily seen to get on target but the rear doesn't do it for me,so I kept the original rear. Not what I expected !!

Night Sights for Ruger American
I prefer open sights and a flashlight for low light conditions. No batteries to deal with. The night sights absorb enough light to show up in low light and be able to maintain sight picture. Easy to install and ready to go.

Perfect replacement for out of spec factory sights.
I suspected the factor front sight was too tall for the factory rear, as the pistol shot low from a supported rest. Just a warning to anyone else who tries to replace their own sight on a Ruger American, that front sight is stuck in good. Do not trust the spec based replacements. You will destroy the factory sight in removal. The replacement will need some fitting to properly drift into place (slow and steady wins the prize). Oddly enough, once I loosened the set screw on the rear sight, it came out with relative ease. Once sight swap was complete, I took the pistol out to the range and point of aim is much improved.
