    Amazing voice, charismatic blend of country and soul

    I first saw Neko Case on Austin City Limits and was intrigued by her voice. I was not disappointed when I purchased Blacklisted. The music mixes fantastic vocals with a dark style of country music that is truly unique. That small bit of "darkness" is kept appealing by Neko Case's expansive, warm voice. This album is one of those rare gems you bought for one song, and found you liked several. In my case, I fell in love with seven of these songs! There's no junk on this CD. She put her heart and soul into every track. You won't be disappointed!

    Blacklisted should be on your A-List

    Neko Case's lyrics provide some powerful imagery and her voice is stunning. She reminds me a bit of Patsy Cline while her lyrical skill puts her in a class with Joni Mitchell. She's unique though. Deep Red Bells is a track that will stay in your head long after you've turned the CD player off. I have four of Neko Case's CDs now and I can stongly recommend any of her recent work.
