As far as I can tell this is racemic ascorbic acid. I used a home made polarimeter and checked it against table sugar which rotates the polarized light right. This is an equal mixture of "d" and "l" because it has been synthesized. d-ascorbic acid is only 1/20 as potent as l-ascorbic acid. https: doi.org/10.1093/ajcn/34.1.24 d-ascorbic acid is found in nature but only in small amounts I am giving a negative because it is not clearly marked! Source and what it is should be clearly marked!

    This is my first purchase of this vitamin c powder, to take with my msm powder for beter absorption. So far it is working to strengthen my hair, and it's making it longer. Now the taste is bitter, but just dilute in your favorite beverage of choice. Enjoy.

    Good for canning

    I have used ascorbic acid for years. It is wonderful for canning fruits. It keeps them from turning brown. This brand is very good. It dissolves quickly.
