Nice Resin Replacement For Early Crusaders
This set from Panzer Art provides replacement parts for the secondary MG turret and enhancements to the main turret for the Italeri kits of the Crusader I and II. How much you'll use depends on the exact vehicle you're modeling - not all retained the MG turret, and early Crusader Is used a different internal mantlet design. The MG turret parts provide not only a solid replacement part for the turret itself but also a turned metal BESA barrel. Detailing is fine, and a step up on the kit part details (which, to be honest, aren't that bad for a 70s-era kit). The main turret parts consist of a replacement for the complete turret front, including external mantlet, a turret baseplate, and an internal mantlet part that the provided turned metal 2pdr barrel fits into. While the baseplate is essentially flat, and means that the turret will have to either be glued in place or just rest in the turret ring (no securing lugs as in the kit part) it blends nicely with the base of the front plate (the forward part of the turret base is cast as part of the front/mantlet part) eliminating an awkward join and area of dubious fit. It's nice enough that the adventurous wanting to do an early Crusader I with internal mantlet might want to perform some surgery on the front plate to combine these parts with the kit parts or TMD's resin replacement mantlet. Overall, a very nice enhancement set for anyone modeling a late mantlet Crusader I or a Crusader II, especially when combined with Panzer Art's Crusader wheel set.

Excellent detail parts
Very nice conversion kit to turn the common Mk III Crusader into an early Mk I. Even has an aluminum barrel. If you can't find, or afford, the stock Mk I, this is the way to go, as the Mk III is pretty common.
