SynopsisDevotionals based on the stained glass windows of The First United Methodist Church, Gainesville, Ga. Over fifty figures from the beautiful windows of this Northeast Georgia Church form the basis for the "Reflections." Almost fifty contributing authors from all levels of the church and the community have provided a comprehensive "walk through the Bible" by virtue of the stained glass. The iconography of the windows in the Sanctuary were designed by world famous C.Z. Lawrence and manufactured by the Willet Stained Glass Studio of Philadelphia in 1980. Moreover, twelve windows, each over 100 years old and moved from the previous church built in 1906 were also included. Finally, each window has an accompanying illustration to make recognition of the figure in the glass more easily recognizable. These windows tell the story of the Old and New Testament as well as the history of the ongoing church in a easy to understand way and highlighted by the pictures and illustrations of all the windows.
