Good bang for the buck.
This quad copter is a great buy for beginners as well as seasoned pilots. The transmitter is somewhat to the cheep side, however the features it does have are incredible for the price. The picture is very good even though you can't pan the camera. Return to home works well as well as the fallow me feature. I wrecked this thing really well and all it got was a broken prop and lost one of the little rubber feet. The batteries are cheep and the spin on props are a nice touch even though no one makes this size in a carbon fiber (which would be nice). If you do buy one I strongly suggest modifying the transmitter with an outside mounted 5.8 antenna for the video. There are videos on you tube for this. It also has a long fly time even when using the recording. This is a great out of the box machine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Packed with Features
While not an inexpensive drone/quadcopter (just over $200), this one is packed with features not found on the mini's and cheap ones. Pros: lots of features including, gps controls, a follow me program and a return to home button. It's easy to fly with the gps mode but also offers a manual mode if you want. I has a great camera with good quality video. Cons: Camera is fixed so you have to move to get some things in shot. not a big deal for wide open shots, but hard for capturing people. Also because of the fixed camera, it can bet a bit shaky. Battery life isn't great either but not the worst I've seen either. If you don't want to spend $1,500 on a drone/quadcopter and are looking for an entry level, fun way to get good video and easy flight time, get the hubsan h501sVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Best Quad for the money
Very stable friendly to use quadcopter with a range of 1000 meters & more, GPS & altitude hold keeps the quadcopter locked in position for video panning & the headless mode makes the quadcopter very easy to fly for beginner pilots. Great package
Just received my Hubsan H501ss drone. Came quickly and everything was as I had ordered. Seems well made and designed. Only criticism is screen was even smaller than expected. Plan to eventually get larger screen and fpv goggles anyway. Great drone for those who are not ready to spend 2 or 3 times more for “pro” drones. Did a lot of reviewing first and this is newer model released in 2017 with new electronics that appear to be more reliable than original 501s. Have only had one flight but is very quiet and because of GPS is so much easier to fly than any “toy” drones I have had. GPS allows you to simply let go of controls and compose yourself when you get in trouble. I have to credit Miflydrone as the vender. Drone with great features, regarding the GPS connection. Little bit instable when take off, responding very fast to the commands, colour screen very accurate, GPS acquiring very fast, but takes a bit long to recharge the battery. Generally great device. A Perfect Fit
Had a serious crash and broke one of the prop arms. Ordered this body shell as a replacement. Only had to remove the upper cowl and front piece from the old shell and pop them on to the replacement. Pulled the original apart and transferred the internals to the new cover.Everything fit perfectly, and the replacement actually feels sturdier than the original. Great replacement part.
