    Very Good

    It is nice and small but I'm not sure about how and when it backs up my pc because there were no instructions on how to make it work. I would give it 5 stars if instructions and basic information on how it backs up the pc. For example ; If I purchase a new pc of a different brand will it be able to put the back up information into the new pc and will it back up information upon connection to the pc periodically. I guess the people that make these items assume everyone understands how to make it work. I plug it in every few days and a light goes on for a short time then goes off. I wish they would include instruction and information with the item. If it does work the way "I THINK" it works I would give it 5 stars but I don't know for sure if it is doing what I can only hope it is ...

    Toshiba External Drive 500 GB: Reliable!

    I needed a new external hard drive to back up my desktop. Haven't had any trouble with other Toshiba external drives I have. Those are simply for entertainment now, since I don't want to fill up the desktop PC. Full backups take many hours, so not concerning. I expect it will perform well for some time. 500 GB is plenty for me. You may want a different size for your needs.
