Once in range, a sonde icon appears on screen, confirming the exact location of the sonde. Dual 3D antennas eliminate fales peaks and increase both sensitivity and precision, making it easier to locate than ever before.
I've never operated a locator before so I haven't had any prior experience with the different settings and when to use them and what they are for and I still don't. I've been trying to figure this thing out, with not much luck. The manual is horrible in my estimation. Can't find any instruction on line. It'll tell me to go in the complete opposite direction of where the camera head is located. When doing a line trace you are supposed to ground the unit with the cable they give you, which is probably 10 feet long if that. Doesn't do you much good if you're in the middle of someone's house. It doesn't tell you anything about grounding the unit. Can I attach it to the cas tiron pipe, or other metallic surface like you would with a vehicle, or does it have to be attached to the grounding rod in the ground? I think in the dozen times I've tried to use this it's actually helped once. Feel like I through my money away. Once again to instructional videos
