    THIS was purchased as a gift. If you like James Patterson and/or The Women's Murder Club books I would recommend this book. the book is in good shape, dust jacket in good condition, better than good in my opinion. I was a good price for this book. I CANNOT say if the content is compelling, I enjoy this series and the charaters. There is just the right amount of personal life (love,sex,romance,kids) stuff that it doesn't affect the cases the Ladies are working. I find them to be a quick read(for me). Chapters are short, for me that makes it easy to time out how many to read or easy to get back if you lose your page. I don't know if this one is compelling as of yet i have not read it.

    Lacks suspense and interest

    The title of Paterson's latest "Woman's Murder Club" should be "3 short stories having nothing to do with each other, obviously written by more than one person" Up until now this common fault of Paterson's work has escaped the Murder Club, but has plagued most, if not all of his Cross Series and individual work. #14 is the exception. There are 3 stories (plot lines) that are short, uninteresting and possess a "so what" feeling at the end. There was more about the girl's love lives, and their collective restaurant habits than their involvement in murder and mystery. I'm very disappointed. I have already given up on the Alex Cross books for the same reasons and I hope Patterson does something to resurrect the Murder Club back to their status in the early editions.
