Great for travel
I love the portability of a standard crock pot. This takes some of the best features of the original and puts it in a casserole style dish. Plus I can still bake with the removable casserole dish, which allows me to get that great crispy top that I love on lots of dishes. I can cook within the crock pot or also use it as a travel container for my casserole to keep it warm at the event. We use it often for Church pot lucks. And as our service usually runs up to two hours our dish is still warm when it's time to eat. I also love the snap down lid - no spills during travel.
