  • Quality bike chain

I have been running this chain along with a shimano can-m770 9apeed cassette for well over a year now. I have had zero issues with this combination. With proper care this chain will last a long time, although, if you are really putting in the miles it is a good idea to replace your chain before it begins to stretch. I did not replace my chain in the past year, so I am replacing both chain and cassette this year. I will replace the chain again around 4-6 months from now, depending on how much use I get out of it in that time. This photo of my cassette shows the type of wear that will occur when you take too long replacing your chain. Subtle flattening of the back of the teeth.

  • Bomb proof chain

I still ride old school truvativ style 3x27 and I've been using this chain for years and has never let me down. The quality is excellent and cannot beat the outstanding price. Best value in nine speed chains. I'll be using this chain until I finally upgrade to the next gen 1x drivetrain.

  • Great Chain!

I have 9 and 10 speed Shimano Ultegra SL gearing systems on my two road bikes and I have been using the Sram PC 991 chains for years now. They have never failed me and last for a good 3,000 +/- miles. You can't go wrong with this chain and it will work with Sram or Shimano systems. Go for it!

  • Strong and easy to keep clean.

I like SRAM chains. The quick link system is easy to use without tools. I have used many of these and find I get about 500 miles of HARD New England forest riding.

  • Great Chain

I've used the Sram PC991 chain on several bikes both road and mountain. The chains have never given me any trouble, and shift well. They also look good with a uniform durable shiny plating on the plates, rollers and rivet. An easy to use "Powerlink" is included. It is easy to find being gold in color. The only thing I don't like about the chain is the gold color of the connecting link, but that's just a matter of taste. I strongly recommend this chain.

  • SRAM pc991 chain

I have used this model chain for many years now on long bicycle tours heavily loaded. While riding across America last winter I traveled 1500 miles heavily loaded on my first chain then another 1500 miles on a second new identical chain. Two chains to ride a touring bike from Daytona Beach to San Diego means they are built strong. Leo

  • One of the two best chains on the market!

Shifting is very smooth. This chain's best characteristic is its durability, it lasts a long time before it is stretched to any degree. Shimano's CN7701 chain is its only competition. But the Sram chain comes with the "magic link" which allows it to be separated and reconnected as often as you need to. Finally, with the impending demise of 3X9 drivetrains, the price is coming down considerably, and it can now be purchased for about half of its original price.

  • High quality

Purchased for a customer he should have done it sooner since he had worn out his large chain ring using a worn out chain. Every one needs to change chain every 1000-1500 miles.

  • One of the best cassettes for a mountain bike...

I had this cassette installed a few days ago and I love it! Gear changes are much better (i.e. smoother) than the Shimano it replaced, and everyone loves the shiny finish and red spider! Very pleased with this purchase.

  • Excellent Product

I've order this Sram chain for my Sta Cruz to use it w/the XT components & it works so smooth like I had expected. Thx you guys for your expectations guaranteed!!!
