When his daughter, Wendy (Kathleen Cody), announces that she'll be staying home to attend a local school rather than moving away to the more highly regarded Huntington College, Charlie McCready (Bob Crane) assumes that the influence of his daughter's deadbeat friends is to blame. He resolves to change her mind by insinuating himself into her social life and trying to scare off her boyfriend (Kurt Russell). Ironically, he only ends up driving Wendy into the arms of an even more undesirable boy.

This is from when Disney still put out good family friendly moral movies - no DEI garbage- no remaking an old movie - just a solid original storyline - no political agenda - Oh how the mighty have fallen

  • Fun movie!

This is another light hearted Disney comedy, this time focusing on Dad's reluctance to let go of his "little girl." Bob Crane, Kurt Russell, Barbara Rush, Dick Van Patten and Kathleen Cody as the gorgeous daughter round out the cast nicely. Extra bonus: a beautiful, original theme song called "These are the Best Times" performed by Bobby Goldsboro. There's a little too much slapstick during the second half, but all in all, this is a great.

  • "Fun movie that will crack you up."

Liked Bob Crane. Sorry he was murdered. You might remember him from "Hogan's Heroes". Here he plays an over protective father. He doesn't really like her boyfriend or the high school friends she hangs around with. Most are getting ready to go to college. He feels that she needs a new crowd to hang out with. So with his influence, he sends her to collage in a different town. Not knowing to will become his biggest mistake,YET!. A really fun movie and I won't spoil it for others that might want to buy this movie Will be added to my DISNEY collection.

  • Good movie

Not one of Disney's funniest but, still entertaining. First part of the movie is the funniest the second part is amusing but, not as funny as other disney movies.
