The long beard xr choke patterns great when using Winchester's long beard xr ammo, but it also patterns good with other shells. Very effective at 40 to 50 yards with non long beard xr shells, effective to 60 to 70 yards with long beard xr shells. The choke was an absolute perfect fit for my Super Black Eagle 3. I was able to pattern this weekend using the choke and had GREAT patterns at 25. 30, and 40 yards using the recommended XR shells.
