    Handy Guide for Bird Identification.

We have used another copy of this Audubon field guide for decades. It is organized in a way that makes bird identification easy. Phone apps for bird ID are useful, as well, but this is a quick reference that we find useful to supplement the apps. We ordered this copy to keep at our camp. This copy was in excellent condition.

  • Great photographic bird guide!

The Audubon field guide is a great field reference for birds in the Eastern region of the US. The size is easy to hold and carry and the photos and overall organization are very good. The species of birds are grouped by categories, colors and shape.

  • Best field guide available for North America

This is my 3rd field guide from Audubon (also have reptiles and trees). The picture tiles are awesome and the descriptions are detailed. The picture tiles include males and female photos when they look different and some juvenile photos as well. Also there are seasonal photos when the birds plumage changes. The only improvement needed that I have identified is that some of the birds descriptions do not include diet, but that can be ascertained from other sources.

  • Audubon Society Field Guides are top notch.

I picked this up to replace a bird book my father had that was close to 50 years old. The pictures inside were all hand-drawn, the pages yellowed with age, and a great deal of information has been acquired since then, so I figured it was time to upgrade. He loved it! Obviously, he's going to hold onto the old book for sentimental reasons, but as an avid bird watcher, he can now more easily identify the birds he sees.
