    This item worked to replace my 20+ year old 9-speed Ultegra STI levers. Important thing to know: The brake levers do not use the same leverage ratio as the old Ultegra brake calipers. Braking power and modulation is inferior. Front and rear shifting is great but you might want to consider getting the Sora brake calipers at the same time. I have to use a lot more hand strength to stop, which takes some getting used to, but technically they do function as brake levers. It's a downgrade though.
