      The Mentalist, Season 7 Review

      This is the last season of The Mentalist. Compared to the rest of the series, it's rather weak. However, in my opinion, this is the best series ever made for TV. Simon Baker's character, Patrick Jane, is a former phoney psychic that ridicules a serial killer called Red John. Because of this, Red John viciously slaughters Jane's wife and young daughter. Jane then finagles his way onto the CBI's murder squad, seeking Red John to take his vengeance. It's well written and the actor are great. Jane has a really dark side and doesn't hesitate to set killers against each other. AAAAA+++++

      Jane finally finds peace.

      The always engaging Jane finally gets around to admitting and proving that he is in love with Lisbon. Few UNexpected plot twists (especially Jane encountering a REAL Psychic) and finally one hell of a wedding scene. This tortured sould found his vengance at last against "Red John" in previous seasons and can finally put his history to rrest and start out a NEW life with one who really cares deeply for him. Very satisfying series.

      Nice mix of mystery, love and humor.

      I really enjoyed this final season of The Mentalist. The shorter story arcs were a refreshing change after so many seasons of Red John. This season also showcased the abilities of Simon Baker to portray Patrick Jane at his most vulnerable. I loved how several previous story lines were closed. I only wish it had been a full season - not a partial one.

      The wrap up on a great series

      I really enjoyed the last season. They kept it entertaining and engaging. It's the type of series that has me empathizing with the characters. It can be a little far fetched at times but you know that's the case from watching the first six seasons. I blew through the whole season in about 4 or 5 days. If you are thinking of purchasing this set you have probably watched all the previous seasons so you know what you're in for.

      The Mentalist final season ended well

      Some series end with the bottom falling out or end in a way that sets up for a new series. All the major characters get some sort of closure, which is tough to see for a murder suspense series. Highly recommend this show.
