The product is the Mars Attacks The Miniatures board game by Mantic, released in 2014. This 2-player game features a game board with a space theme, allowing players to engage in strategic gameplay. With high-quality miniatures and a unique gameplay experience, this board game is perfect for fans of tabletop games looking to immerse themselves in an intergalactic adventure.
The rules are pretty simple and the sequence of play keeps the game moving along. The miniatures are well sculpted and other than it being a little tough to tell some of them apart from the rest it all works out great.
I deducted one star (reluctantly) because there is not a great amount of differentiation between model types (rules-wise - which might limit replayability) and there are no player aids (at least provide a list of abilities...).
Th game appears to be well supported and I would like to pick up some of the expansion materials.
Good game. Not as technical or well developed as something like 40k, and the models certainly aren't up to that level but it's fun, nice artwork, interesting minis and if you like the Mars Attack franchise you'll like this!
A totally fun game. I had to get past the cost of the game, plus the cost of any additions/extensions. But when one looks at the cost of games today, you just have to 'bite the bullet' and get it. Well, I bit the bullet and shelled out the greenbacks for this little gem. The quality of the game pieces is absolutely fantastic, and the play of the game is fun. What more can you ask for? The whole idea is to have fun, and this game delivers it.
