Cardboard was only on one side of the sign to prevent the sign from being bent. The sign had a crease in it. I was able to get the crease out so it isn't noticeable. I purchased a sign from another seller who used bobble wrap and cardboard on both sides of the sign and there was no way this sign could every get bent. I'm still happy with this sign purchase even with the slight crease in it. Price for the sign was good.
