Great body
This kit is a later production piece, as the body needed clean up for what must have been pitting on the mold surfaces along with some flash, mold seems, and ejector pin marks. I built it as a street car, rather than the pro stock drag car. The chassis in this JO-HAN kit is a simple one piece unit, well detailed for a kit tooling that's 50 years old, but lacks the intricate detail I like. So, I used an AMT 67 Mustang chassis and drive train, parts box wheels, tires ,and seats. An AMT 68 Camaro cowl induction hood was cut up to form the hood scoop and the body was polished out and clear coated. I am pleased with the outcome, and would recommend this kit to any Mercury fan.
