    i would have given it 5 stars but more precaution should be used in the packaging and sending of this type tool.l.

    The pliers are nice and sturdy but the packaging it came in was not sufficient and the cutting tips were exposed at the bottom of the padded envelope they were sent in. I only hope that this didn't damage the sharpness of the cutting part.

    Be gentle

    Initially, I thought, "wow, these are really nice." They seem to be put together well, have a comfortable grip and the cut is sharp and close. But, they only lasted me a few weeks before getting nicks, chips and dents in the blade. Yes, dents. This has never been an issue for me, I don't have nicks, chips or dents in any of my other pliers. Since I was using the pliers only on my jewelry wire, I can only deduce that the blade is of poor quality and not a good value at all. On the positive side, I learned from ising them, the type of wire cutters I'd like. I just need to find a pair with harder, more durable metal in my price range.

    Great deal- great for wire cutters

    Great value for the price. These are great wire clippers. I had a pair stolen and these are a replacement. I plan to use these when wrapping gemstones. A better pair than the plain ones I had. These are small and extremely sharp to the touch. Wire doesn't crimp up when cutting. Rubberized handles make an easy grip for use. I cut .5mm wire with these that's 925 fine silver or 14k Gold 14/20 for gemstone wrapped pendants. Specifically made for jewelry making.

    These Little 170 Cutting Pliers Do The Trick

    Product is well made and cuts small gauge metal and plastic very well. Deserves its place in every toolbox. Offers value for the money over brands like Excelite (which is now made in China but priced like they are still made in the USA)..
