GREAT VERY NECESSARY ITEMS!
I bought two after the new EXPENSIVE refrigerator warmed up just enough to RUIN our food! It took 3 service calls and a new master board to fix it. I remembered that the doc I worked for used this brand in the fridge that kept the vaccines. I love these and will monitor temps closely from now on. My thinking is any new fridge sold should give you these. Just because you set the temps does not mean anything! They need monitoring! Thermometer is not dependable!
I bought this to check the temperature of the inside of a brand new refrigerator. When set on max cold, the thermometer said it was 42 degrees inside, which is not safe for food storage. I tried it several times and was about to return the refrigerator when I tried a commercial thermometer and found the real temperature was 34 degrees. A Refrigerator Must
These thermometers are versatile and easy to use. The temperature range doesn't seem conducive for oven use, but they are GREAT to monitor refrigerator/freezer performance. It is unfortunate I didn't have these when my refrigerator started loosing its grip--lost a lot of food as a result. I now have one in both the freezer and fresh food section of the refrigerator. I purchased the three pack, appears to be good quality, only issue I have is that I placed all three in the same cooler and discovered three different temperatures. The difference is +/- 4*. Spoiled food ?
After weeks, possibly months of my wife and I blaming the food providers with a sub standard product. We bought this thermometer. Come to find out our refrigerator was not up to the task.
