When installed in servers such as IBM’s xSeries, this IBM 40K1043 helps to maximize the system’s I/O throughout, while its hot swappable capability reduces downtime in the event that a drive needs to be replaced. Although this IBM hard drive can be used in any PC system equipped with a SCSI interface, the rapid speed of an internal 15,000 RPM hard drive is designed to exceed the performance and reliability needs of a data-intensive, production environment. When an IBM 40K1043 such as this model is installed, users can expect high-performance, reliability, low operational noise, and low power consumption.
