    For the most part, it’s good

    Had a little hard time putting the sand in without a mess. But overall it looks good and the sand works well. Given two bags, but to make it completely fit to the middle border I had to use 1 1/2 bag which is okay. Does not come with ants but I can easily find some and they do give you a link to buy ants from them.

    Small Ant Farms - Disappointing

    Smaller than I thought it would be. Had to buy a second one to have room for all the ants. It comes apart easily so be careful. The ants they send were really to big for the size of farm I got. Will find some smaller ants outside after the few left die. The ants kept getting stuck in between the decorations in the farm and then they would die. The small ant farm isn't worth the money better to pay more and get the big one, that way the ants should fit better and not get stuck. Also had a terribly hard time putting the ants in the farm. You are warned, and they do bite... My brother had one growing up and it was a lot bigger then the ones I got. The ants fit and had plenty of room to tunnel and live.

    Fun activity.

    I taught second grade for many years and had this Ant Farm in the classroom. It is the same, except this version is far smaller than it used to be. Otherwise it is nice. I purchased this one for a great niece who is excited by ants and their “antics”.

    Family fun

    Something fun for all the family ,to enjoy watching the ants carve their trails in the sand. Educational too. I recommend it as a fun science project regarding nature for the whole family to enjoy together.

    It's ok, but look at others

    It arrived on time and the child receiving it was excited. However, the ant farm itself is very narrow, so when the ants tunnel, the sand falls back onto the tunnels and it fills up. The ants go about their activities but it's all above the sand. The main purpose of getting the ant farm was to watch what the ants do in their tunnels, but that doesn't seem like he's going to experience that.
