    The way Stratego ought to be experienced.

    Simple, elegant product design: Plastic pieces stand upright, metallic-embossed character icons fit the military theme and look like soldiers and ranks from the 19th century (rather than cartoony types), overall look matches the "strategy" concept brilliantly, unlike many of the modern reboots. Gameplay is classic stratego (lowest number = highest rank), which is refreshing. For a cardboard / plastic boardgame from the late 1970s, the particular box I rec'd is in excellent condition, which is good, because this version beats all subsequent versions hands-down.

    True Nostalgia!

    I am quite pleased with my purchase. I expected the extent of wear that it has, because it dates back to 1961 and was enjoyed throughout its life. I had this game as a teen. Finding it on Ebay and purchasing it, took me back to a simpler time in my life.

    It was like going back in time.

    The game was just as I remembered it from my childhood. The pieces were numbered correctly and the game board was in excellent condition. Today’s version doesn’t even compare, you can’t beat a classic.

    Great purchase!

    This was in such a great condition for being so old! All the pieces are in perfect shape, the board and box have a little wear to them. But so happy with it! Can’t wait for my brother to open it for Christmas, it is the exact one we played with twenty years ago!
