It is in good condition from being used before; it still works like it’s new it just looks mildly used, which going into buying this, I knew. If I were to buy it with knowing the exact condition I still would. This is definitely a better deal compared to all the brand new calculators. Although this isn’t a brand new calculator it still looks the same (just used because i’m pretty sure it was in a classroom before, because of some pencil marks on the calculator) and it is like 20 dollars cheaper or more than most of the other calculators. It did come in a few days and I have definitely used the calculator a lot since! You can see on the back there is a decent amount of pencil marks on it (probably students who used it that were doodling but easily erasable), overall definitely worth the buy!Read full review

Calculator came completely broken, wouldn’t even turn on. Had to take it apart twice and completely put it back together to get it to even turn on, then I had to take all of the buttons out and replace them to get them to work properly. It works now but if you’re not tech savvy don’t even bother with this product.

The TI-84 Graphing Calculator is the standard graphing calculator expected of high school and college students. Although it comes short of the TI-89 in many features, it's overall a great piece of equipment though a little overpriced. You might get a better deal for your dollar buy purchasing a calculator from one of the other competing brands (such as Casio), but because they are not widely used you will have some compatibility issues with your teacher or professor, who most likely knows only how to teach you to use Texas Instrument's TI-series of calculators. Of course, this can all be solved by reading the manual, but calculator manuals are 100+ pages and not very interesting reads. Laid, '80s age screens give this calculator an old-school look but the exterior asthetic design is much more modern. Much better than the design of the TI-83. The differences between the TI-84 plus and TI-84 [regular] are minimal, only increased performance (hardly noticeable) and a slightly greater compatibility with newer apps (useless if you do not download applications from the internet) allow you to tell the two apart. Both are compatible with the TI-83 and have similar [if not exactly identical] keystrokes for functions.Read full review
Great price for this calculator for college. I'm a college student and my math teacher said she recommended that model of TI and I saw they were around $90-$100 brand new and I don't want to spend that much for a calculator. Got the calculator and it works perfect but some of the buttons gets stuck so I had to play with the button to get it unstuck. Some time when I'm free I need to open the calculator and see if I can fix this.

The TI-83 and TI-84 are the same calculator. The TI-84 has more memory. Most people don't use all the memory anyway. If you need a graphing calculator, the 83/84 is the best one. If you learn a little about programming, this calculator can be amazing. However, if you're going to get a big calculator, learn how to use it! This calculator can be intimidating if you're not used to it. It's worth learning it, though. If you don't have to have a graphing calculator, look at the TI-36X Pro.

I needed a graphing calculator for a stats class. The TI-84+ has the functions that I needed and also was on the list of approved calculators that could be used for testing. This calculator is an older model but has the all the functionality and performance that I needed for math, It hit the price performance balance for me. TI has newer calculators with recharable batteries, faster processors, and more memory, but I didn't need the additional processing power and I happen to like old school AAA batteries that can be easily purchased and swapped out. Highly recommended item!

It's very nice to be able to color your lines when operating multiple functions. The controls can be a bit intimidating, but don't worry, Youtube have lot's of videos to help. If you take the time to sit down and play with the calculator, you'll be impressed with all the functions. I am not a "math guy", and I assume that there are better/easier calculators, but this one has been good for me.

I own four TI Graphing Calculators. (Two TI-83 Plus, a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, and this CE) Speed? I'm sure when I start writing my own BASIC programs, I'll appreciate the CE extra program space and speed. Thus, if you already own a TI Graphing Calculator and you've found that it is slow, or that it has too little memory to do what you want it to then buy the CE. Otherwise, stick with a TI-84 Silver Edition. The CE can't connect to the old keyboard (which I have); which is a real limit when typing programs. It's really annoying to have to enter letters with the hunt-and-peck method even when Alpha Lock is turned-on. I can't run programs on the CE that were created for the TI-84 Plus. I can't communicate with either the two TI-83 Plus or the TI-84 Plus with a cable, either. So, all the advantages of a CE are eliminated by the disadvantages. The size? That's crap. The difference is size or weight is not discernible. I'm was not at all impressed by any difference in size. So, if you like to impress other people, then get a CE. In reality? Do you really need color? Do you really need the extra-big screen? and it takes quite a while to charge the CE. Since batteries have always lasted a long time with all TI calculators, swapping-out alkaline batteries is MUCH quicker to do. So, my recommendation... but a used 'like-new' or 'acceptable' condition Silver Edition for $55. Read full review

The TI-84 is a good calculator and can do almost all functions for Algebra courses and above. The reason we purchased this model is that many math books and teachers direct students to and provide instructions for the TI-84. I have a TI-85, which is just an older model and it works fine, but this one has a more straightforward way of getting there. This calculator should do the job for most classes. On eBay, you can often get one for around $50, which is a good price as well. I like this calculator a lot.

I would like to rate them as excellent and in fact they were in all but one area. Ther description, accuracy, price and service were great. The only issue I found is that they made too many attempts to sell me and extended warranty. If I had wanted the additional coverage I would have bought it on the first attempt. The second, third and now fourth attempt became overbearing. I was even warned that I had only one more chance to get the coverage. I guess you folks come from selling used cars or life insurance. Intelligent, thinking people don't need to be hammered into buying. They can and do make intelligent and informed decisions everyday.
