    Could not find an official Makita 10.8v battery. Bought a generic one once before and it lasted about 3 months. Was told a 12v Makita will work. Found one and it DID in fact work on a 10.8 volt charger. Very happy.

    Bad quality

    First time I used it batt melted a hole right in side of if it put my original batt back in and drill worked good still so I got 5 min of use of of this batt and it burnet up and I no its not my tool because every other batt I have works great
