GRAPHICS - 9.2/10 SOUND / MUSIC - 8.9/10 CONTROLS - 8.5/10 GAMEPLAY - 9.0/10 REPLAY VALUE - 9.4/10 There are two angles in the game to play; the Autobot perspective, and the Decepticon perspective. The brilliant part is that they aren't just mirror-images of each other, or the one side in reverse. A big thanks and kudos to the team who made these two very distinct storylines. As you progress along the stories you earn bonus features, which are largely just images from the movie or the old cartoons. The images are not in any kind of order either, so of 160+ "shots" maybe you've unlocked numbers 25, 79, and 152 and have to scan the entire list, one at a time, to see them. If you've been fortunate enough to discover a couple of consecutive images, you can't go to the next one without first backing out of the one previous; not the best implementation. But the mere idea alone of unlocking movies, images and game skins is brilliant enough to have turned this 2 week gaming adventure into a solid month of pure enjoyment! My personal game says 97% complete and I'm determined to find those last remaining items! CONCLUDING THOUGHTS Transformers: The Game is like the Prom Queen from the nerd's perspective. She's really very beautiful and engaging, but once you have her for a night, you'll realize you want more. And of course once you get your hands on her you can't share with friends (1 player only), and although the magic may wear off after a month, its a good idea to keep her because afterall, she IS the Prom Queen... at least until the next one (Transformers Game) comes along. You get the two storylines, the bonus features, two bonus levels, huge environments, a driving, rumbling, and flying experience, what more could you ask for aside from two player options!? So how is it than only after a week of playing I was only able to clear 25% of the game? Easy, I simply LOVED roaming around and observing every interesting detail of the environment… it’s that good to enjoy! A lot of people worked on this game as is apparent via the instruction manual being about 60% credits. And boy does it show with the quality of this game let alone it's control system. With that large of a crew, it's no question how this game didn't go the way of the "Superman" or "Fantastic Four" games. It is easily one of the most underrated games of 2007! PROS: Lots of good looking eye candy Two seperate storylines Quality voice acting! CONS: Simple fighting mechanics, and A/I Strictly linear storylines Only one player FINAL SCORE: 9.0 out of 10 – 90%Read full review
This is definately a 2 day rent-to-beat game. I see no point in buying this game. I just rented it and within under 12 hours of playtime, I beat it. I did not do all the side missions, but the main story does not take too long. The graphics are great and gameplay is fun. You can play as the Autobots (good guys) or the Decepticons (bad guys). I played the Decipticons' missions first, which made going back to the Autobots' so much easier. One cool feature is the slow-motion when you destroy an opposing bot (kinda like the movie 300). It really makes things look cool. The enviornment is very big and almost everything is fair game. You can even climb buildings and throw cars.. although, there really is too much need for throwing cars. All in all, great game to rent, missions are pretty fun with great graphics. I spent $4 renting this game for 2 nights and I got all that I wanted out of it. If you liked this review, plese vote "yes" below. Thanks!Read full review
Over all, this game is pretty good. You can play two different story lines, the autobots or the decepticons. Though the the two story lines don't intertwine together, but they both end up having a good old fashion fight between Optimus vs Megatron. To me the Autobot missions were easier to do than the Decepticon missions. One thing that frustrated me in this game was the controls for the decepticons in disguise mode. Due to most of the decepticons were aviation vehicles, its harder to fly than drive. I thought the graphics look great and each robot you fight had a different characteristics whether it was you fighting the main opponent or you fighting some other useless robot. Oh, if you like to blow up stuff, this is your game. I bought this game because I am a long time transformers fan and I liked the movie. So, I decided to play the game as they were in the movie. The story modes don't quite match up with the movie, but hey, the game can't be exactly like the movie.Read full review
Okay, here's the dope. I have a 5 year old that loves transformers, the cartoons, the movies, you name it. So being a Dad, I bought the video game with him in mind. The game sucks. Aren't games supposed to be fun?? okay so you can blow stuff up and beat on other robots, but if you follow the game (as its the only option there really is no choice) you have to go through level by level. So you complete one level, then the next more challenging level and then you failed (yes thats how they put it) the next level, you have to go back to the very beginning and start again. These are not easy levels either. So I gave up trying after a few hours of frustration. I undersatnd demographics and the need to make challenging games, but this is just no fun at all. The graphics are pretty average as well. compared to drakes fortune this really really pales in comparison. its an obvious "lets cash in" type of game. email me and I'll send you mine if you want, I certainly dont want it.Read full review
The game is not that bad. I would not go so far as to call it a must have but if you like the movie then its worth your time. It very slightly follows the movie but it has a completely destructible environment and decent driving controls. It requires little skill as it is mostly just button mashing. the conversion process from robot to vehicle is pretty cool and fluid but very little challenge factor. If you can find it on ebay cheaper than a store check it out but I wouldnt pay full price for it.
Great game got it because I had just gotten my PS3 and only had one game at the time now I have more but it's a little hard but it just means it's challenging. I think the controls are pretty easy to figure out and get use to. Also the graphics are great and the fight scenes are grade A. Definitely worth buying and playing.
This game is fantastic! I’ve wanted this game since I was a kid and now I finally have it. Worth the price. Gameplay is great, disc and case is in awesome condition.

I bought this as a gift for a friend. They love the game. Good quality fast graphics easy on screen instructions. I know of another person who also has this game on PS2 who also said the same things.
I enjoy the game and its also kid friendly. Good Graphics and plot. You can also play as a Tranformer or a Decepticon. I wouldnt pay more than $30.00 for it at this present time. 8/8 b/c you can buy it pre-played at Gamestop for $30.00.
