The game isn’t as good as I remember it being as a kid, but it’s still fun. However I don’t think it’s worth any more than maybe $6

Not like the originals. Not much exploring so far, just difficult timed button mashing training, then game just throws enemies at you. I sold it after playing about 3 hours giving it a chance.

3RD REVIEW DONT KNOW IF ANY OTHERS WENT THROUGH,DUE TO CHECK SPELLING ETC,ANYWAY QUICKLY NOW GREAT GAME FOR ME AND MY SON FINISHED IN ONE WEEK HE IS 8 YEARS OLD WE ALL LOVE SPYRO IN MY HOUSE FOR 12 YEARS SINCE PS1 AND 2 .ONCE YOU COMPLETE EACH HARD TRAINING LEVEL YOU GO TO NEXT LEVEL AND HARDLY USE ANY OF THE THINGS YOU LEARNED. RECOMMENDED TO SPYRO LOVERS AND THEIR KIDS OVER AGE 8 NOT FRUSTRATING,JUST A LITTLE IN TRAINING MODE, MANY SECRET PLACES TO GO AFTER YOU THINK YOU COMPLETE A LEVEL YOU GO BACK AND FIND THE SECRET DOORS WHICH ARENT TOO HARD TO FIND. I BOUGHT THE BOOK AND ONLY USED IT ONCE IN THE END AT THE TRAIN.DONT WASTE MONEY JUST WAIT UNTIL THE TRAIN IS BOOSTING POWER AND ATTACK... GAME TOO SHORT FINISHED TO FAST.WHEN COMPLETE SAVE YOUR GAME AND YOU CAN REPLAY UNDER SAVED GAME WITH ALL YOUR POWERS YOU EARNED IN THE FIRST GAME. HAVE FUN MYSELF AND MY SON WERE SO PROUD FOR FINISHING THE FIRST SPYRO GAME, WE HAVE 5 0R 6 IN ONE WEEK OR LESS IN SPARE TIME ONLYRead full review
This reboot of the Spyro series by Activision is beautiful. The first of three games in the series: Use new combat attacks with platform features to save the world, and stop the manipulated puppet of the Dark Master, Cynder from resurrecting his vile return.

As a huge fan of Spyro, I played the original Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, Spyro: Year of the Dragon, and Spyro: Enter the Dragon Fly. I recently purchased A Hero's Tail as well as this game, hoping that one of them would remind me of when I started playing but not be too repetitive from the first games. I have yet to receive A Hero's Tail, but after starting this game, I knew it wasn't worth it. Sparx, which I knew as a armless, legless dragonfly who only buzzed, has become an unfunny, sarcastic, boring nag who complains about everything. "Training" is useless, as the only attacks you really use will be basic ones because they'll all you'll have time for. The battles are repetitive, as well as long. One of the first bosses comes back three times in order to defeat him. Large amounts of enemies come out at once, making it nearly impossible to complete an area without dying twice or more times. Overall, the game only deserves stars because Spyro is a classic, and this game does get the fact that he's a dragon correct. I would not recommend buying this, even if you are curious about what happened to little Spyro, as you will soon feel the confusion I'm currently feeling. Maybe I just miss the horrible graphics.Read full review
