Because I had a recorder with CD burner it was time to upgrade so you did not need to use one button for 25 functions. While I still use the unit for live recording, it is a simple unit to use and add a track or overdub later. I will use only part of the capabilities but I know someone that also has one and they record track after track....I just don't want to take months to record one song so you can still use live, turn on once and cut and paste the breaks between songs later...just like cutting, pasting and moving with word processing you can do with recorded sound. This machine, MK II, is simpler than the fist one....it might seem complicated at first but after you do the functions once or twice it becomes a simple machine to use.

Excellent machine, very happy with it. I really wish it had a drum machine but I understand why they took it out.. the sound quality is unreal.. I give this a 5 star rating because of its ease of use and availability of accessories.
I really like this recorder, i love the fact that i can record seperate tracks, and edit or merge them as i desire. i bought it to be used in a church studio setting. So far there is no complaints, i really like it. I have not tried any other similar products, so i have nothing to compare it to.
I decided I needed a multi track recorder to record my own CD. Found this item on Ebay and bought it because it had so many tracks (24) to record all the instruments myself and burn my own CD directly from it. It was used but like brand new and have loved it. Does even more than I expected and allowing me to live my dream.
