I decided to buy this book, because like alot of books I have read, I loved the movie. If you love the movie, it's an interesting twist, but I like Stallone's version of Rambo. Rambo in the book is more like a punk kid with an attitude vs. a highly trained professional. I have known people in the Special Forces community and I feel that David Morrell's Rambo makes for interesting reading but is inaccurate. I am not saying that Hollywood;s portayal of anything is accurate, there is always some flare added to make a movie dramatic, but I would believe Stallone was a Green Beret before I would believe Morrel's Rambo was a Green Beret, but I do recommend the book.
Not at all like the movie. So is a new experience. But the movie is still the better ending and overall story.
