Electric Gear Option A Major Headache to Install
God help you if you try to put Phoenix's electric gear option in instead of the mechanical gear (which the forum guys say is very weak on rough strips). Got the electric gear quicker from Vietnam than I get stuff online in the US. Go figure. Anyway, the electric gear really requires a lot of carving and fiddling and improvising to install in the wing space. Theoretically it should fit but not really. However, the electric gear is far more sturdy and cool-looking in motion. So it's a trade-off between a lousy fit and durability. You're going to need good building skills and lots of patience to get these installed. Other than that, I like this model a lot as an electric conversion. No flaps, but a guy who has one says it slows down pretty good. If I can manage to put some custom flaps in, I ... Not bad but not as expected.
Have not yet flown the aircraft. Definitely not your typical ARF where things like servos fit right in. So far both aileron servos bays required cuts to fit.
