    Amazing metal lathe

    Good quality very well packing arrive complete nice finish maybe little scratches but nothing important. I will recomend read the brochure and bolt on the work bench before test i am very happy with my brand new mini hi presicion methal lathe.

    Major Issuses

    The lathe came with a broken lead screw. The motor mounting is very low qualitly and it was difficult to adjust the belt. I had to fix that. The gibs are straight up junk. They will not stay adjusted' if you snug them up you can't move the cross slide or tool slide. If you have them loose enough to move them freely you get bad chatter and vibrations when cutting. The motor is very week and will slow down when drilling or taking a .020 pass. The gears are very loud and do not mesh well at all. The forward and reverse lever will allow proper alingment of the gears and the they will bind up and stall the motor in the reverse setting. the bed is machined so badly that it has a .014 cut differance over a 6 inch piece. Try to adjust a 14 inch bed. I got what I payed for, a cheap nearly useless ...

    Great machine for home use on small parts

    Review of this product needs to take the price point into consideration Machine tools and accessories are expensive. To get this machine complete and ready to go makes it a good value. A chuck, tool post compound rest or tailstock center could cost as much as this entire machine. That being said this is not a production grade machine. It uses the threading lead as the only power feed and has no power cross feed. The three jaw chuck doesn't have independent jaws do it limits setup accuracy. It works best on softer materials like brass, aluminum or mild steel. It can only thread in metric.

    VEVOR mini metal lathe is a ggod buy BUT....

    Everything seems to work well. The tailstock baseplate will need to be filed/machined down where it fits above the track or your tailstock center will be too high.It took me about three hours to get mine right. If you go too far then you have to shim the tailstock so go slow.

    This lathe is of decent quality, but it needed the loose motor to be bolstered

    Sellers were very helpful in finding my shipment, it arrived in decent condition; late but intact. The motor is mounted with 2 flimsy/thin washers and the motor was loose. I used thicker stronger washers to keep the motor mounted. For the price it is not bad, check youtube for up grading these lathes.
