This is a great book for those who loved Avatar and want to get more behind the scenes knowledge. lots of beautiful graphics, and cool prelim designs. this book really shows what James was trying to achieve with this movie. just an FYI though this book is about the ART, not the making of, so if you are looking for alot of Photos of the physical props and actors this is not what you are looking for, this is more pre production and final design art images.This is a great book for those who loved Avatar and want to get more behind the scenes knowledge. lots of beautiful graphics, and cool prelim designs. this book really shows what James was trying to achieve with this movie. just an FYI though this book is about the ART, not the making of, so if you are looking for alot of Photos of the physical props and actors this is not what you are looking for, this is more pre production and final design art images.

Although I bought this beautiful book initially for the artwork, I found the narrative to be just as engrossing. It was fascinating to learn of the rationale of the movie's creators for all the details and "realism" of the both the native species of Pandora and the off-world visitors and their equipment. Anyone interested in art, filmaking, design, engineering or science fiction would enjoy this book.Although I bought this beautiful book initially for the artwork, I found the narrative to be just as engrossing. It was fascinating to learn of the rationale of the movie's creators for all the details and "realism" of the both the native species of Pandora and the off-world visitors and their equipment. Anyone interested in art, filmaking, design, engineering or science fiction would enjoy this book.

The Art Of Avatar
The book is as spectacular as the movie. The mind of James Cameron is filled with reverence and wonder for the created world of Pandora. It's easy to see why he's one of Hollywood's leading directors.

Great book for the fans of Avatar.
This is probably a must have item for the fans of the movie. It has lots of illustrations about development of the movie and how it came from a script into life. Personally I am glad that I bought it.
