About this product

Product Information

Like its title, this PS2 brawler is based on the real-life PRIDE Fighting Championship, an "everything accepted" (<i>Vale Tudo</i>) toughman competition in which masters of different martial arts styles meet in battles to determine an overall winner. Fights involve kicks and hits as well as grappling. Virtual combatants wear away at each other's health and stamina until one is victorious. As in the actual events, however, certain submission moves are recognized and can quickly end a bout if a talented fighter takes advantage of an opportunity left by his opponent. Pride FC offers a broad selection of playable, real-life fighters. Carlos Newton, Guy Mezger, Gary Goodridge, and other veterans of Anchor's UFC games appear here, as well as PRIDE Fighting Championship contestants famous in Japan, such as Alexander Otsuka, Kazushi Sakuraba, and Nobuhiko Takada.

Great buy! Mouse works perfectly! It was correctly packed and arrived intact. It took a while to get to Brazil, but that is Ebay and the brazilian post's fault. Comunication with the seller was easy and fast. Would definitely buy from him again.

  • Only good MMA video game out on the market.

This is a really good MMA video game. I have been looking for this one for quite a while I had it years ago. I am now anticipating the arrival of UFC 2009 Undisputed and I had to take a stroll down memory lane and play my favorite game from 5 years ago. This game is really hard to find, I asked arounf some stores and nobody carries it anymore. eBay is the only place your going to find it unless your lucky and find it used and a video game store, probably thrashed though. • BEST MMA GAME OUT THERE RIGHT NOW!

I'm a big mark for the UFC games, but I gotta say that PRIDE FC is just as good, if not better than UFC Sudden Impact. It doesn't have a story mode, but that doesn't really matter in my opinoin, because all the story mode in the UFC games was just make a fighter and go threw training. In PRIDE FC, there is a Grand Prix mode, which is a tournament, survival, where you fight as many differant fighters as you can, back to back, without regaining health, and then a single fight mode. You can also create a fighter and pick his moves. The controls are pretty much the same as the controls in the UFC games, but what I find pretty cool is that you can try to fight back against submissions, instead of where in the UFC games if they try a submission, you have a split second to try to avoid it, and ...

  • old skool Pride FC for PS2

The game play is a bit too fast, as no fight makes it past the first round cause damage meter drops too much with every hit. Would like to see more Pride fighters on the game that were pictured in the game's video montage! Takes quite a bit of time to create a player and seems a bit redundant to choose moves between left and right punch and kicks, standing, front step and back step. I ended up doing my version of copying and pasting to try to save time. Should have set reversal buttons like THQ's SmackDown vs Raw. One button for reversing punches/kicks, one for grapples, and should add one for submissions as well. Overall, the game is fun to play at first, but gets old quick.

  • pride

it's great!!!!!game for all fans of mma! one of the best games about vale tudo!in k-1 there is better fighters but pride fc is more real and fore sure playing as avanderlei silva o roys gracie it's pure pleasure.mark hunt vs mirko crocop hehe that's it.i would like to se glaube feitosa vs mirko crocop.maybe one day in other game made in pride fc!!!!

  • a good solid game

The depth of the fighting mechanics and character customization is impressive. Graphics are okay for that generation, sounds are subpar. Any shortcomings are made up by the exceptional gameplay.
